Dreams can play tricks on our minds, giving us sensations and images that feel falsely familiar and real. By rooting the imagery aspect of this exhibition in things that remind me of home, I was able to abstract and distort my everyday into dreams. In many ways, the act of painting can feel like being the author of dreams – – reality is whatever you make it.” – Aleksi Ann, Artist.
